SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE RULE OF LAW WITH THE UNITED NATIONS by Benson Agoha

* New Partnership - UN survey on the Rule of Law.

The United Nations has commissioned a survey to guage people's understanding and opinion on the rule of law, as well as how it supports the work of the UN.

Commissioning the survey, the UN says that "Having the rule of law means that all persons, institutions and entities, public and private, including the State itself are accountable to just, fair and equitable laws and are entitled without any discrimination, to equal protection of the law."

If you believe something needs to be added to or removed from the UN's definition of the rule of law or if you disagree with UN's opinion that the rule of law "is essential to peace and security, human rights and development", here is your chance to give your opinion.

The committee say a report capturing your views will be presented to the United Nations General Assembly by the Secretary-General. So what do you think?

The committee say "This is a new partnership and now is your chance to have your say on justice."
