Residents of Eltham, part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich are looking forward to a great evening, as the town prepares to set the Christmas spirit tonight.
Town Centre and Council boss are headed to Eltham to turn on the Xmas Lights tonight, signalling the countdown to Christmas.
The Mood is equally exuberant at the Council and Town Hall as many of the officials are also said to have headed to Eltham for the ceremony.
Eltham is known to take Christmas seriously and delivers eye-catching carnival like performances.
From local secondary pupils to their primary school counterparts, thousands usually turn up to witness Eltham's Christmas lights being turned on.
Handy work displays, assorted colouful lanterns and carnival dances all make it a fun-filled esperience.
