CASULTY FROM IRANIAN EMBASSY BLASTS CLIMBING by Benson Agoha


* Blasts Near Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.

Casulties from two powerful explosions near the Iranian embassy in Beirut, Lebanon is increasing by the day.

Initial reports emerging from Reuters in Iran put the death toll at 7. However more evidence from the blasts say the deaths have now climbed to about 23. The blasts were carried out by suicide bombers.

Several people (now put at around 150) were confirmed wounded, while Cars and buildings around the embassy compound were also severely damaged.

As details emerged, Reuters say, Iran insists no staff of their's inside the embassy was hurt.

Nothwithstanding the blasts, the Iranian legislature has called on their president to ensure that Iran's rights and plans to acquire nuclear power are protected.

The lastest statement comes from the law makers as further negotiations is due to take place tomorrow (Wednesday), in Geneva, Switzerland, between Iran and some world powers.
