LABOUR POLITICIAN LEN DUVALL: A VERY NICE, RESPONSIVE MAN, SAY WOOLWICH TRADER by Benson Agoha

* Len Duvall: Leads the Labour group on the London Assembly.

Len Duvall is a very nice, practical man, `who is up there and yet in touch with his community' say a Woolwich Trader.

The London Assembly Member for Greenwich and Lewisham was spotted around 8.30am in Woolwich today, as he walked through the Town Centre to a drycleaners shop.

The Labour Party politician was approached by a fruit and vegetable seller as he passed. He stopped briefly to respond before continuing through the General Gordon Square to pick up his items.

As he walked into the Woolwich Express Drycleaners shop along Woolwich New Road, the workers gave him a welcome smile.

After collecting the two carefully folded suits, the former former chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority spent some minutes chatting with the drycleaners, before leaving the shop.

Woolwich Online asked the Manager if he recognised the man he just served and he said "yes, yes. I recognised him. He's been our customer for years and comes here all the time. He is a nice man."

He said tht Len Duvall is one of those politician you can safely say is `one in a million'. He is up there and yet he is very close to his constituency `I have known him for years and he is a very responsive politician. I really like him.`
