The latest Restaurant and entertainment venue that promises to spice up the rising image of Woolwich is due to open by end of March.
The Restaurant, belonging to Antic London Restaurants will offer a combination of services which will include pubs, restaurants and live band.
It has a concourse and bar on the ground floor and a balcony restaurant, overhead.
It will have a capacity to accommodate between 400 to 500 diners and will offer late night entertainment.
Located at the heart of Woolwich, the pub restaurant occupies the former banking hall of `The Woolwich', wich was acquired by Barclays Bank.
The property is the Equitorial House which overlooks the iconic and Award winning General Gordon Sqare, Woolwich. It has become a business hub, with several businesses including a betting shop, a pharmacy, a chinese restaurant, grocery shop, hair salon, law firm and a popular Snack Bar and a school.
Antic London has several other restaurants across london. It is not clear whether the new one coming to Woolwich will be named "Antic London" or not.
When Woolwich Online visited the new venue today, work is progressing well and a work man told us, they are on course to opening by the end of March.
It will be a welcome addition to Woolwich at a time residents complain about lack of night life at the town centre.
