Woolwich: The Woolwich Grand Theatre Still Open, Despite `Closure'

The Woolwich Grand Theatre has not closed shop, according to its project Manager, Mr. Adrian Green.

Following enquiries directed to us, we contacted The Woolwich Grand for clarification but they told us they are still there but had to close the front doors due to water damage.

In reply to our question, they tweeted "Water damage.Still here."

Locals said they realised that for nearly two weeks, the front doors of the arts and entertainments venue, which also houses a restaurant on its first floor, had been placed under lock and key, although the events posters remain outside.

In their last Twitter update yesterday, the Woolwich Grand said they are "Looking for a quiz master, someone who can come in for a fortnightly quiz on a wide range of subjects", adding "If that's you, step forward."
