* Woolwich Thames Barrier.
In response to the current flood warnings, the Thames Barrier in Woolwich Dockyard will be closed for five hours this morning.
The closure, which will be in effect from 09.45am - 14.45am, is to prevent the incoming tide from causing further damage to homes and property along the thames path.
Alan who works at the Thames Barrier, tweeted "We will be closing the #ThamesBarrier to prevent the incoming tide restricting the high river flows upstream from approx 09.45-14.45."
As at this morning, 16 Severe Flood Warnings as well 133 Flood Warnings remain in place. There 238 Flood Alerts also.

The latest news on the flood is coming with increasing hope as the government called in the Army to help in affected communities.
A spokesman said the latest flooding represents an unpresedented natural crisis.
Train journeys from London Euston have been cancelled and travellers are urged to cancell their journeys unless they are unavoidable.
