You asked us and we asked them and so for now this is what we can tell you.
Speculations that Waitrose Supermarket is due to arrive Woolwich at Berkeley's Canon Square building, Woolwich is unfounded, according to a Sales Executive at Berkeley.
But for the moment, he would not confirm the stores that will be opening there.
However a second speculation, linking Wilkinsons with the Canon Square, may be true, even though staff said they have not received an official circular to that effect.
Speculations gained traction that a number of stores, including Waitrose and Wilkinsons are due to open at the new facility, expected to be ready by the time Crossrail opens in 2018.
Woolwich Online enquired from the staff at both Berkeley Homes and Wilkinsons Stores.
At Wilkinsons stores, a staff confirmed they too have been told that their store will 'move over the road, across the open market' but, she said they have not got an official circular to that effect.
Greenwich Council recently revealed plans to relocate the Woolwich Leisure Centre to the site where Wilkinsons Store is currently located.
Council said the building will be replaced with a "Brilliant and modern" building that would bring people into the heart of Woolwich instead and into a brilliant brand-new building that makes sense for the customers and for the town as a whole.
