In football, congratulations goes also to Manchester City, for a well deserved win of the Premier League Crown for the second time in three seasons.
Both the Manager, Manuel Pellegrini and the players really proved their mettle.
Pellegrini did have a good reason to smile and deserved every moment of the victory as the players picked him up and hauled him into air. It was his first season in the Manchester club after he took over from Roberto Mancini at the end of last season.
The great thing about the win was that victory actually remained open until the last game on the last day.
Liverpool remained strongly in contention and only trailed Manchester City by 2 points.
Chelsea FC which came third was not far behind, trailing second placed Liverpool with 2 points also, finishing at 82 points.
Interestingly, the four top teams alternated their occupation of the top spot at different times of the season and all four will be playing in the Champions Leagues next seaon.
So congratulations to the top four teams really.
Norwich was eventually relegated on the last day after their home loss to Arsenal who beat them 0.2. With them on the relegation zone, were Fulham and Cardiff City.
