Greenwich: McDonalds Restaurant Never Turns Them Away

by Benson Agoha

McDonald Restaurant knows a lot about 'positioning', which is why, for many, the chain remains the first point of call when the stomach starts rumbling.

And for the McDonalds Restaurant in Greenwich, there certainly is no love lost from hungry tummies.

Located strategically besides the Cutty Sark DLR Station, at the Greenwich Town Centre, the restaurant is easily accessible. But despite  being 'swarmed' by customers, the 'pointer man' held onto his direction sign and remained in  position - on the street.

* Signboard Man: "My Job is here, I don't know what is going on inside."

So when we were famished and decided a break would be more appropriate with a quick bite into their 'big mac', we soon realised 'quick' might not be quite what to expect there. There just so many customers - eating, buying and waiting-to-buy.

We stepped outside to consider our next move, only to be swarmed again by some 25 teenage tourists that suddenly emerged from the DLR Station. We dashed back inside to join the queue.

On our way back, we asked their 'signboard man' if he was aware of the situation in-store and said his job wast on the street, not inside.

You're doing a great job man!
