Woolwich: Woolwich Singers Entertain Pub Goers At The Great Harry

by Benson Agoha

Tuesday night was interesting for drinkers and diners at The Great Harry in Woolwich.

The pub/restaurant owned by the J D Wetherspoons group was the venue for a mid-week sing-along experience.

But when we arrived there, the event had apparently gone half way, so we managed to get you some of these photos.

* The Woolwich Singers performing inside The Great Harry in Woolwich, Tuesday night.

* The group is comprised of people from different age groups and the elderly lady seated in front did her bit.

* The pianist and the conductors/lead singers rendered a good performance and had pub goers clapping.

As they entertained, not may forgot to go for a refill as going home early took a back seat.

The community choir, which rehearses weekly and charges £2 per week, is operated on a not-for-profit basis.  There is also no membership fee and Drinks and biscuits are provided.

If singing together and meeting new people fits into your idea of fun, Woolwich Singers, which sings a mixture of traditional and pop songs, maybe ideal because they have something for everyone and also welcome everybody.  There is even no audition.
