Technology: BMW Tests New Electric Sports Car

BMW is on course to introducing a new environment-friendly sports car, currently undergoing testing.

Noiseless and smooth, the car glided through the roads, led by a monitoring crew with a video camera. To our benefit, they stopped briefly, but only enough for us to get you these shots.

We spotted the action around South Quay, in London's the Isle of Dogs neighborhood.



As the car was put through its paces, led by a surveillance crew with video camera, train passengers inside the DLR were awe-struct, as were other passersby.

It is not clear how soon the car will be in the market, and our attempt to interview the crew was somewhat halted, frustrated, when the lead vehicle moved.

Anyway the car looks cute with its dazzling blue led lights glowing front and back.

And we missed a chance to snap the Seal of the Isle of Dogs. We spotted him, but just as soon he came in view, the slippery fella was gone underwater again.

Locals tell us, he comes all the way from the Billings Gate fish market area and lives all by himself - no family at all. Poor fella!
