Michael Schumacher Leaves Lausanne Hospital

Michael Schumacher has left hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, more than 8 months after suffering a head injury during a skiing holiday.

The former F1 champion, slipped, plunging head first during the holiday last December.

He was initially admitted at the Grenoble Hospital in France, from where he was later transferred to the Lausanne hospital in Switzerland, nearer to his home.

An official family message posted by his media representative, Sabine Kehm, on his website said “Thank you all so much! We would like to thank all the people who wish Michael well for their positive energies. We are sure they had helped him already.”

As messages of support continued to pour in from around the world, the family tweeted “We are deeply touched by all the messages to get well soon for Michael which still are being sent from all over the world.”
