NIGERIA: Teen Bride kills husband with hot water Eeeu!

Tragedy occured in the Northern Nigerian State of Bauchi after a teen bride allegedly killed her husband in protest with hot water.
 
18-year-old Aisha Jibrin, a housewife in Jahun Ward, Bauchi was arraigned at the Chief Magistrate’s Court 7, also in  Bauchi, for allegedly killing her husband with hot water.

The incident happened on Wednesday, October 8, at the couple’s residence in the Bauchi Metropolis, at about 5p.m.
 
Aisha Jibrin was said to have lost one of her front teeth as a result of beatings received from her husband, and reports say, Aisha was accused her of going for an abortion without her husband's consent.

It was not certain at press time if the quarrel was over the issue of the paternity of the aborted baby or the abortion itself, according to reports by Nigerian FM.com, but Aisha was said to have poured hot water on her husband, Ladan, when he was taking his bath. The man died later in hospital.
 
According to a close family friend, who pleaded anonymity, problem started for the newly-wedded Aisha when news of the abortion reached her husband.

The deceased brother, Nasiru Mohammed, reported the matter at Dutse Tanshi Police Station and Aisha was arrested and charged to court.

Abdulahi Adamu, the Investigation Police Officer,  told the media that  the suspect was beeing charged with culpable homicide punishable under Section 224 of the Penal Code.

The Chief Magistrate Presiding over the case, Isa El-Shuaibu, has adjourned the case to Tuesday October 28, for further hearing.
