A few days ago Zuckerberg and wife made a donation of $25m towards the fight against EBOLA scourge. A disease that is currently ravaging some African countries, claiming since April 2014 the lives of some 4033 persons.

His latest expenditure, according to reports, was on a swath of landed property in the US Island of Hawai, where Zuckerberg spent $100m on a 700 acre property.

According to Media reports, the Facebook founder, with a net worth of some $33.3bn also bought two adjacent properties including a plantation.

Zuckerberg is listed as the 16th richest person in the world by forbes and the Hawai property is among his first high-profile investments that flaunts his personal wealth. He has so far remained largely quiet.

His previous purchases has been linked to corporate deals that sought to secure the future of Facebook.

But are the properties far from civilisation? Well, it's the way of the rich.
