Late night Crash, lands learner biker in hospital

by Benson Agoha

A man riding a Vespa motor cycle was last night lifted off the ground on a stretcher after crashing on his motorbike close to a traffic light at the Woolwich Town centre.

The motor cyclist with his Learn Sign still visibly attached slipped and fell, sustaining suspected broken neck. He groaned in pain as medics struggled to lift him unto a stretcher.

An eye witness told Woolwich Online, the incidence happened about 23.30hrs last night after he slipped on approach to the Traffic Light junction leading unto Thomas Street.

Reliable account said he appeared to have stopped too sharply and, with veneer of ice frosts on the floor, slipped and fell, breaking his neck. A collar-bone had to be attached to be able to straighten his neck and ease the pain before he was taken unto a nearby ambulance to be examined by medics.
