Invitation: Carers invited to an event during Dementia Awareness Week in Charlton

Spotlight on Dementia by NHS GCCG | Eltham

Carers are invited to the latest Care Together event on Wednesday 20 May.

Care Together events are jointly hosted by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group.

In the course of the event, Carers can receive tailored advice during three one-hour information sessions on subjects including:

* dementia awareness

* managing medicines safely

* nutrition

* relaxation and stress reduction and

* the dementia journey.

There will be information and advice as well as an opportunity to network. Refreshments will be provided.

The Care Together Programme runs from 12:30-16:30 and is hosted at The Carers’ Centre, The Stables, (next to Charlton House) 76 Hornfair Road, SE7 7BD.

According to the Alzeimer's Society, Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. It can strip you of your memory, your relationships and your connection to the world you love, leaving you feeling isolated and alone.
