Message from the Greenwich NHS Clinical Consulting Group on Mental Health Week

by Greenwich NHS CCG | Eltham

In line with our goal of securing coverage for coverage on mental health week which runs from  Monday 11 May to Sunday 17 May, 2015 the Greenwich NHS CCG would like to make the public be aware of additional programmes that can be of benefit to them.

Below, please see details of support available locally:

(1) Big White Wall, a digital service which is free for all Greenwich residents aged 16 and over.

The confidential online service allows people who register with the service to talk to each other safely and anonymously about their problems, share experiences, and express themselves in images by creating 'bricks' on the wall.

The service offers access to trained counsellors, called wall guides, who are available 24/7, and a choice of safe therapeutic services is accessible online, including guided self-help courses.

Go to the Big White Wall website and enter your Greenwich postcode to get free immediate access to online support.

(2) Greenwich Time to Talk – is a free counselling service run by Oxleas NHS Trust and based in Eltham.

You can ask to be referred by your GP, or you can contact the service yourself by calling 020 3260 1100 or completing the online self-referral form.

(3) Feel Good Greenwich is an online and telephone support service offering ideas on how to help improve your mental well-being, and advice on helping a friend, relative or partner to feel better.

Support includes details of free and low-cost local activities, and opportunities to meet people who may feel like you do.  Visit the Feel Good Greenwich website or call 07557 230560 or 07557 230558.

(4) Greenwich Recovery College runs courses for people who have lived experience of mental health, to help support their recovery.

You can ask to be referred by your GP, or you can contact the service yourself. Email: info@recoverycollegegreenwich.org or call 020 8294 7909.
