Tell the NHS what you think of NHS 111

Around 26,000 calls are made to NHS 111 in South East London every month.

And if you've used it, NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wants to know what you think of the service.

NHS 111 makes it easier for the public to access urgent healthcare services when they need medical help fast. It is free to use and directs people to the right local service first time, or gives health advice that is best able to meet their needs. It supports urgent and emergency care services, ensuring that patients get the right care, first time.

The service is currently run by the London Ambulance Service in South East London, and the CCG is about to put the contract out to tender as it expires later this year. Before it does, it wants to know what local people think about the service.

Dr Ellen Wright, Chair of NHS Greenwich CCG said: "NHS 111 is a popular and valuable service directing people to the right place for the right care when they are unwell or injured. As the contract is coming up for renewal we are seeking views on what the service does well, and what it could do better."

Dr Wright said: "We want to ensure the service is what local patients need and the survey will help us gather people's views and make changes to the service if required."
