US to send more military trainers to Iraq, after Obama approval

The United States is to increase the number of its military personnel that are training up the Iraqi forces which are fighting the Islamic State.

Fox News reported Wednesday that White House has announced it was sending up to 450 additional U.S. military personnel to Iraq.

The soldiers will be deployed to Iraq to train and assist Iraqi security forces at a base in Anbar province, to help in their fight against ISIS. 
Islamic state has increased its assaults on Iraqi and Syrian cities in recent months, destroying ancient buildings in several of the cities it has taken.

Recently, the Islamic State also served notice that it intended to control the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, according to a report by the Times of Israel.
