It has been a tough campaign so far and Serena Williams has had to despatch her own sister Venus among others to reach the final. But today, she did it.

She has won Wimbledon 2015, and told her opponent Muguruza: "Don't be sad. You'll be holding this trophy very soon, believe me. You're a great champ." Serena won 6 - 4, 6 - 4.
The latest information from Wimbledon said the American has closed in and made history at Wimbledon, thus defeating leading her hard fighting opponent Garbiñe Muguruza Blanco of Spain.

"Serena Williams breaks for a 6-4, 5-1 lead...", tweeted the official account of Wimbledon. If she makes, it and there is no reason why not, she would have won it 6 times.
To get to this stage, Serena William beat Venus 6 -4, 6 - 3 in the 4th round. She almost lost it in the quarter finals but powered back into reckoning, beating Victoria Azarenka from Belarus 3 - 6, 6 - 2, 6 - 2. She despatched Maria Sharapova of Russia in the Semi-finals, winning 6 -2, 6 - 4.
Her previous Wimbledon winnings were in (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010,2012).
