McDonalds Restaurant is to serve all-day breakfast beginning from October 6, 2015 and it is being rolled out across the entire states of the United States. But loyal customers from across the pond who have wished for the same opportunity may have to wait for further confirmations.

As it stands now, break fasts meals at McDonald's are halted once it strikes 10 a.m. And no matter how badly you need the favourite sausage and egg muffin, you ain't going to get one till the next day.

It's all set to change, as confirmed in a McDonald's tweet, responding to a 2008 request.

Here is what happened: On June 22, 2008, Anthony LaFauce @lafauce: "Why doesn't McDonalds serve breakfast all day.. its awesome."

For seven years, the tweet had remained un-replied till September 1, 2015 when McDonald's tweeted "@lafauce Breaking news! McDonald’s replies to California man’s tweet from 2008 with #AllDayBreakfast announcement! pic.twitter.com/Grc2It08uJ"

A `timely' reward for patience you might say. And Anthony LaFauce quickly praised the announcement, preferring it to other corporate news of the day. He said "Screw @google new logo... @McDonalds just won the day for the biggest news in the world."

Will this be rolled out across the pond in UK too? We asked from our local branch of McDonald's Restaurant at Powis Street, but they seem unaware of the announcement. "I am not aware of any such announcement", a Manager told Woolwich Online.

He said: "May be it's just internet talk or it is only for America, but we have not been advised to serve all-day breakfast beyond 10.00 am."
