Prime Minister David Cameron visited the Bataclan Café in Paris where terrorists took captives and killed several in Friday, November 20, 2015.
In a joint press conference, the PM said he stood "shoulder to shoulder" with President Francois Hollande of France in their resolve to defeat "evil" Islamic state. He said "President Hollande and I are united in our determination to defeat the evil death cult, ISIL."
The two leaders visited the Bataclan Cafe in Paris and paid their respects to victims of the multiple terror attacks that left 129 dead and several others wounded.
The ringleader was later shot dead and while a lady, who said she was not connected with the attacks, also died. Seven others were arrested during an operation that lasted several hours in Saint Denis, the north of Paris.
In a later post on Facebook, the PM said he visited Paris to show "our continued support to the French people and to discuss how to work together to rid the world of this evil terrorist threat."
He said "This is not a time to equivocate about allowing our police to shoot a terrorist to save the lives of innocent people. It is not a time to stand back and wish for another world where Jihadi John or Reyaad Khan could somehow be arrested, rather than stopped in their tracks. Neither is it a moment to question our support for our dedicated security and intelligence services, who risk their lives day in and day out – often necessarily without any recognition – in order to keep us safe."
He is due to address Parliament later on security measures planned.
