IDF Strikes Target Spot Near Damascus Airport,Say Media

Israeli jets reportedly targeted a spot near Damascus Airport Wednesday night. But the identify of the target remain unknown, the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday. It comes two weeks after another IDF strike on a weapons convoy was also reported.

This time, as on the previous occasion, military sources remained silent on the mission, say Jerusalem Post Reported.

"Defense officials declined to comment on the foreign media reports." JP reported.

According to JP, the attacks occurred at around 6pm, with weapons shipment and terror cells being suspected targets.


Israel is serious about security and never tolerates any acts of hostility directed at the state, with Tel Aviv Airports reported as the most policed airport in the World.


But with Many countries caught up in the Syrian war due to divergent interests, the politics of involvement has a whole new meaning.

Britain's initial attempt to get involved earlier in the war was blocked when a commons vote defeated the motion. Since then, the war has escalated, with tens of thousand killed and millions displaced.

But the war of attrition had happened from various sources, and has since metamorphosed into the Islamic State, with sizable swathes of land taken from both Iraq and Syria.
