by Benson Agoha | Woolwich

The Streets Event will hold at the Woolwich Town Centre between Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December 2015.

According to Marlon Dwyer, Principal Regeneration Manager, Royal Borough of Greenwich, the Streets Event will encourage local residents to visit the high street and more importantly both business and the local community will experience the joys of music.

She explained that the event will also demonstrate that a performance can be delivered in non-traditional locations and spaces, as well as music being able to create the right ambiance for mutual business and community benefit.

The Streets aims to:
* Programme a range of performances, animating high street spaces and increasing public dwell time.
* Support local businesses in building partnerships.
* Surprise consumers with unique and unexpected experiences.
* Encourage local residents to rediscover their high street.
* Celebrate and explore local heritage.
* Build local capacity and appetite for future activity.

The Streets will benefit local businesses by increasing footfall and spend on high streets, Showcasing the High Street as an exciting, sociable and vibrant place to be, Unlocking the potential of local economies, Profiling areas of outer-London at a regional and national level.
