Bill Cosby Arraigned On Aggravated Assault Charges, Posts Bail

A visibly shocked Bill cosby was arraigned Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault chages. He posted a $100,000 bail fine in cash - representing 10% of a $1 million bale fine.

The new development was dramatic and contrary to reports in recent months that the comedian was considering taking the women to court for defamation.

Bill Cosby, 78, apparently could not believe it and almost tripped after two officers (one male and one female) approached as he alighted from his car and huzzled him along the short distance to the courtroom.

He had previously admitted drugging his sexual partners but had almost maintained it was consensual. The incident in question happened 12 years ago.

On arrival at Court he was wearing a spotted gray hooded sweater and according to a Fox News report, was walked into the brick courthouse in Elkins Park, Pa., flanked by one man and a woman.

"Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth A. McHugh cautioned that she didn't want any commotion in the courtroom before asking Cosby if he understood the charges against him. Cosby said he did, and surrendered his passport to the prosecutor. Cosby was also ordered not to make contact with the alleged victim," Fox News reports.

He left the about 15 minutes in the courthouse before he left, refusing to answer or comment to reporters. He just shook his head.

Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said earlier Wednesday in a press conference that Cosby was "charged with aggravated indecent assault."

The charge, if convicted is punishable by up to 10 years behind bars under US laws.
