The ex-boyfriend of a pregnant lady who attacked and beat her up while pregnant has been convicted of doing so with the intention to kill her unborn child, Evening Standard reports.

Kevin Wilson was found guilty by the Jury at the Old Bailey, even though his accomplice during the attacked told Police he did not know him.

Malorie and Kevin met at the University Bedfordshire as students and have been out of the country and back on holidays together.

But the pregnancy reportedly occurred during a brief fling after they split up and met again. When she told him she was pregnant, he reportedly did not want the baby. He did not deny this and told the court it was true he did not want the baby, but claimed it was not him that attacked his ex.

However, Miss Bantala told the court she recognized him, from both his build and posture. Kevin who is a teaching assistant, may get life for attack during which he reported kicked repeatedly with the intention to kill the unborn baby.

The court heard that Wilson, 22, had begged Ms Bantala to have an abortion and even made a clinic appointment but she refused.

Describing how the attack occurred, during the trial, Miss Bantala, 22, said she fought to save her baby from them.
“I screamed out ‘Kevin’ for him to stop but he continued to kick my stomach with harsh kicks,” she said.

“I could see his trainers kicking into me and stamping on my stomach for what felt like ages.”

“My instincts led me to put my right hand over my stomach and I broke two fingers from the kicks trying to protect my son.”

When she was eight months pregnant she was attacked by two men in motorcycle helmets outside her home in Peckham.

She told the jury she recognised Wilson through his open visor as he kicked and stamped on her stomach

She was returning home after a shopping trip buying gifts for her baby shower.

The unborn baby boy was stillborn at 32 weeks and the Marks and Spencer worker lost six litres of blood and needed life-saving surgery herself.

Wilson, of Bermondsey, and a 17-year-old boy with an IQ of just 49 were found guilty of child destruction and causing grievous bodily harm to Miss Bantala.

They are awaiting sentencing by Judge Mark Lucraft.
