Boko Haram Driven From Nigerian Territory Into 'fall-back positions' Say President Buhari

The Military operations against Boko Haram has yielded positive results, according to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Nigerian President told United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon at a summit in the United Arab Emirates that his govt has driven Boko Haram from Nigerian territory into 'fall-back positions'

President Buhari met with the UN Scribe on the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit currently holding in Abu Dhabi on Monday and, in a statement said the collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the Multinational Joint Task Force have driven the terrorist group from Nigerian territory into "fall-back positions".

"They are currently not holding any territory today as we speak. " President told Mr. Ban Ki Moon. 

He addressed the concern over the Lake Chad which is drying fast and told Ban Ki Moon that Nigeria will relentlessly pursue necessary action to reverse the drying up of the Lake to save the lives of those who depend on it.

"With all due respect to our neighbours, Nigeria has been worst hit by the drying up of the Lake Chad and we are hoping that the global community will support the process of halting the drying up of the lake, " President Buhari said.
