Happy Birthday To Boxing Great, Muhammad Ali Who Turned 74 On Sunday

Muhammad Ali, the champion of champions who is still widely regarded as the greatest boxer of all times, celebrated his 74th Birthday on Sunday.

He told his facebook friends when he posted a photo that he was celebrating his 74th birthday today, adding "Thank you all for the birthday wishes. #HappyBirthdayAli".

A radio station, Smooth R&B 105.7 wished him a Happy Birthday, telling their fans "He's STILL the greatest!"

* In his hay days, Muhammad Ali was an icon with a
huge profile, earning himself the greatest boxer of all time.
At 74, he has no less a high profile than when he was younger.

"Happy birthday Muhammad Ali what an accomplished man in his prime I think he was the best fighter there ever was.." said one fan.

Another fan said "Happy Birthday Muhammad Ali! - You'll always be the "Greatest of all Times" "Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee!" Love you God Bless you 'n Family!"

However, one fan disagreed that Ali was the greatest boxer of all times, saying "Muhammad was a great fighter, but not the greatest. The greatest heavyweight was Joe Lewis Barrow. I do wish Muhammad a happy birthday!"

I guess its a matter of opinion. Being classified as "great" is easier to accept than being being classified as "the greatest" especially if boat subjects were never contemporaries.

It's just like the comparison between Pele of Brazil and Lionel Messi of Argentina doesn't seem fair on either party.
