If The Police Don't Get To You Straight Away, It's Not Because We Don't Care, Say Anonymous Police Operative

Many complain of times and times again when they say Police had failed them after a 999 call failed to bring police to the scene on time - or perhaps never.

Some say police does nothing and that putting out a call is often a waste of time.

If you have had to doubt police sincerity, this article, published in today's Guardian may interest you.

It was written by an anonymous police controller who explained how he analysis situations and makes the all important decision of prioritising calls.

"I have to assess which 999 callers are in the most danger and sometimes I have to refuse to send officers – decisions I do not take lightly," he says, but he went on to describe several instances that people may have desired a different result but were apparently failed.
