According to the account, by the time Anja Ringgren Loven found him, he was looking like a Briafran boy from Nigeria's civil war.
It's one of those stories that beggars belief, but this little boy was accused of being a witch and abandoned by his parents to die. And he almost did. Till a Danish woman came by and rescued him.
According to the account, by the time Anja Ringgren Loven found him, he was looking like a Briafran boy from Nigeria's civil war.
Anja Ringgren Loven, is the founder of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation ( ACAEDF) and together with her partner and son, live in Uyo, the Cross River State Capital.
Two weeks ago, she saw the boy, already emaciated and left to die and took him into her care and as reported in the Women of Rubies website fed him, gave him clothes and sent him for necessary medical attention.
A few days in hospital and the reject was now able to smile and give gestures of hope, as you will see from the middle photos (above left and right).
Anja Ringgren Loven, who is building a new orphanage in Ikot Ntuem, Uyo shared the photos on her face book page.
