Senator Ben Murray Bruce made good his statement on Monday buy buying not just made-in-Nigeria cars, but made-in-Nigeria footwear too.
And his tweet that he had taken delivery of made-in-Nigeria cars was a hit over one million retweets and half a million likes.
Not that Ben Murray Bruce is new in the lime-light. His father took the Dominos Franchise to Nigeria and the media mogul branched out to found Silverbed Productions.
Now a Senator of the Federal Republic, Ben Murray Bruce has been leading the way to encourage Nigerians to think `Local'.

On Monday, he showcased his latest haul of Made-In-Nigeria purchases which included automobiles and foot-wear, saying the were just as good as any from overseas.
Many years ago, the Made In Aba shoes wouldn't be anybody's taste especially if they put premium on durability rather than price. So it was not unusual to see Nigerians travel abroad for their purchases.

His campaign is well received and his determination very noticeable too. He told the media, he would push even the President of Nigeria to buy Made-In-Nigeria products.
He is not alone. Many senator colleagues of his are behind his campaign, with Senators Olusola Saraki and Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim giving positive response
Tuesday, Kelechi Uche,Team Lead, Account Manager at VConnect.com, a digital marketing outfit, in Lagos lend her support, with recommendation (below) of what Nigerians should do to firm up the Naira.
The Nigerian Naira has been to weakened that the current exchange rate on 16.02.2016 stands at N1000/$ and N1000/£3.50. And if Nigerians are saddened by this reality, might the country's leaders be keen to do something about it?
The Naira may have been mismanaged or allowed to float for too long, but might now be the right time to do something about it? Even Ghana did something about the Cedi, after years of unbearable low rates.
