No Black Actor For The Oscars In 2016: We Need White Actors to Speak Up Too, Say Luenell Campbell

* Luenell Campbel has acted alongside Sacha Baron Cohen
and Adam Sandler.
The Oscars 2016 is just 7 days away but, unlike on other occasions, it's controversy has started early.

This year, the Academy Awards has announced no Black actors will be recognized for last year's films, and as expected it isn't just going down well with every black actor or actress.

Actress Luenell Campbell told VLADTV that even if you chose not to recognise them, you can't deny the receipts.

"In 2015 F. Gary Gray's Straight Outta Compton biopic grossed over $200 million at the box office, but the only ones to receive an Oscar nomination were the screenplay's two Caucasian writers." and added "Everybody doesn't feel the same way we do."

She said: "You know, it's fine for Blacks to get up and squawk about not being included - where's all the friends of all these Black people?"

"There's White people that feel the same way we do...It's just like everybody who wants to be Black and sag their pants and listen to hip-hop, if they started hanging Black people again how Black would they want to be then?"

Luenell Campbell also believes that certain Black actors, actresses and filmmakers fear voicing their opinion and having it shamed by critics.
