A man has been charged for extreme expression of hate and intolerance after he threw boiling water on his girlfriends gay son and his partner.

Martin Blackwell, 48, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery after he threw boiling water on the gay couple while they slept, inflicting the kind of `pain that won't let you sleep'.

Marquez Tolbert, one victim who spoke to WSB-TV 2 about his injuries, told them:
"The pain doesn't let you sleep. It's just, like, it's excruciating, 24 hours a day, and it doesn't go anywhere. It doesn't dial down, anything. It's just there."

The 21-year-old and his boyfriend, Anthony Gooden, were sleeping at Gooden's mother's house in College Park when Blackwell came in without warning and threw boiling water on them.

Tolbert claims that Blackwell pulled him up and told him: "Get out of my house with all that gay s***," after pouring the water on himself and his boyfriend.

A ccording to VLADTV, Tolbert spent ten days in the hospital following the incident, and he had to get skin grafted from his legs to repair second and third-degree burns on his arms, back and face.

Gooden reportedly had to be put in a medically induced coma due to his extreme injuries following the incident, but he was released from the hospital on Friday, March 11.
