Information Centre For Eltham Town Centre Improvements Opens

by our RBG Correspondent | Woolwich

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has opened a Project Information Centre for any residents who would like to view the many improvements that Eltham will be receiving in the coming months.

Where:
Information Centre, 38 Well Hall Road, SE9 6SF, Eltham

Opening Times:
Monday – Friday 10am-2pm

The centre will be open until the works are substantially completed. Project drawings will be available at the drop-in centre together with a provisional programme, showing when each section of construction is expected to be carried out.

Eltham’s new look will include a more natural, modern looking high-street, which will include widened pavements, better street lighting and easier parking.

All parts of the roads and footways will be reconstructed. The final works will be a complete resurfacing of the carriageway, followed by the patterned finishes on the crossings, etc.

A 20mph speed limit will also be introduced and the Royal Borough of Greenwich has an agreement with Transport for London (TFL) confirming that high quality granite paving is to be used.

Please see here for more information on the regeneration of Eltham High Street:
