Clipped to a stable position, the man you see on the photo above could manage a cool smile, fuelled by his achievement, but the huge rat he caught near a children's playground can cause panic when loose.
And oh..it was already dead when found by Gas engineer Tony Smith who worked nearby in London.
According to Smith the rat, found near where children play in Hackney Downs, London, was by far the largest he’d ever seen.
“This is the largest rat I’ve ever seen in my entire life." he said adding "I’ve got a cat and a Jack Russell and it was bigger than both of those put together."
"We were going to stick it in the bin, but before we did we thought we better take a picture or people won’t believe it’s real.”

Being an infestation estate, resident are though to have placed rat poison which got it grounded
He said: “The bins get left open nearby so these little fellas have a pretty good diet. They eat fried chicken and rice all the time.”
