Seven-Year-Old Boy With The Adrenaline Of A Lion Punches Robbers In A Maryland GameStop

by VLAD TV | International

They do have lots of guts in Maryland, don't they? The photo above shows the moment a seven year old boy with the adrenaline of a lion took on a rubber face-to-face in a games shop.

According to VLAD TV, the surveillance footage of the kid hero shows him attempting to fight off a pair of store robbers in Maryland last week and it is winning the hearts of it's viewers.

The video was released by the Montgomery County Police Department on May 25, and since then has amassed over 6,303 views. The incident dates back to around 8:56 pm on Friday, May 20, when a pair of hooded men barged into a GameStop in Silver Springs with guns drawn.

In the 42-second recording, the 7-year-old boy whose identity remains anonymous, is seen lingering around with a stuffed doll in his hand when the suspects enter and proceed past him. A moment after disappearing from the view of the camera one of the men returns in an attempt to grab the boy up, but is met with resistance as the child slings two left hands to his gut. The scrap was short lived, as he would be swooped over to lay belly down behind the counter with his family and store's clerks. According to police, the thieves made away with cash and personal property.

“Because he saw somebody who was a stranger, who seemed most dangerous to him and he tried to defend himself,” the boy's father, who had been separate from the child when the robbery occurred, explained, “I think it was his natural instinct taking over there.”

No one was injured in the incident.
