Take a plunge under the sea for this year’s National Bookstart Week and go along to one of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s libraries for a marine adventure.

The annual Bookstart event has a theme each year to celebrate the joys of sharing books and stories every day.

This year the theme is Under the Sea and the chosen book for the week, which runs from 6-12 June, is A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea by Jessica Law and Jill McDonald.

Royal Greenwich Libraries will be running events throughout the week including messy mornings themed with sea monsters and mermaids and undersea adventure story times.

The Bookstart Bear will be visiting some of the libraries during the week.

For details of the activities visit the council website at www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/libraries or call in at your local library.
