Fight After England Was Held To A Draw By LackLustre Russia At The Last Minute

by Benson Agoha | Football

England was held to a draw by Russia during their opening game at the Euros in Maseille last night, forcing a good side to leave the field wearing forlorn looks.

But the result which made the Russians feel good with themselves triggered mas disturbance as both England and Russian fans clashed immediately after.

With heavy presence of Policemen outside the stadium, there weren't enough officers inside to curtail the backlash, and many fans were bloodied in the attack.

Elsewhere, Wales was celebrating with a superb 2:1 win over Slovakia.

The disappointment from England's first game not-withstanding, the team are said to be in good spirits, with man of the match Eric Dier, whose spot kick gave England the lead, saying they were now looking forward to their next game rather than waste time on the past one.

It's still best wishes to England. They are playing well and just need to slot in the goals.
