And another star is in the dock on rape charges.

According to multiple sources including Pitchfork and VLAD TV Freddie Gibbs was on Thursday night, June 2, arrested just minutes before he was set to take the stage for a performance at the Rex in Toulouse, France.

Gibbs is an alleged suspect in a rape that reportedly took place in Austria in 2015, as the French publication La Depeche reports. So he is currently in the process of being extradited to Austria to await trial.

But he is reportedly denying it.  In fact, according to Pitchfork the star's legal team shared the following statement:
“Freddie Gibbs adamantly denies the allegations that have been levied against by Austrian authorities. It makes you wonder why it took almost a year for Austrian officials to bring these charges. Freddie will be fighting the extradition request as these are nothing more than trumped up charges.”
Gibbs cancelled his performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona due to the arrest. In late May, he also cancelled a show in Vienna, Austria, citing transportation issues.

According to VLAD TV, shortly after being arrested, Gibbs "was presented to the public prosecutor and imprisoned pending his extradition to Austria," which was confirmed by spokeswoman for the Vienna prosecutor's office.
