Labour In Final Push To Retain Tooting Seat Vacated by Sadiq Khan

Labour Party bosses are juggling their campaign for the EU Remain side and tomorrows Tooting by-election, necessitated by the victory of New Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan in last months election.

The exit of the former Tooting MP for the City Hall means that a by-election will hold tomorrow to fill up the vacant seat.

Many Labour Party bigwigs have thrown their weight behind efforts to ensure that a Labour candidate retains the seat for which Dr. Rosena Allin-Khan, who has been described as "brilliant", is the Labour candidate.

A final appeal sent out by Sadiq Kahn Wednesday appeals to volunteers for their usual help saying "Whether you can give an hour or the whole day, it’ll make a real difference" adding "And you don’t need to have helped before – first timers welcome and our team will be on hand to show you the ropes."
