Lagos Schools To Remain Closed, Say Governor

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State gave new directives on the Lockdown in Lagos on Wednesday, saying schools will not open in the State for the moment, according to media reports.

The governors clarification follows President Muhammadu Buhari's broadcast which effectively changed the lock-down status of the state.

The governor also banned activities of Okada riders in Lagos, saying Keke Napep (tri-cycle vehicles) activities are also being limited.

In a nutshell, the governor said that:

- Okada riding activities in Lagos have been banned
- The operation of Keke Napep in the state is being limited and
- all schools in the state will remain closed until further notice

The president said governors are free to modify the directive based on their state's peculiarities.

"In line with this, the Lagos governor has on Wednesday, April 29, directed that all schools in the state remain closed while at the same time suspending all commercial motorcycling (Okada) operation", Legit News report.
