Nigerian Schools To Remain Closed Till Further Notice, According To The Federal Ministry of Education

Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Education has said that schools will remain closed till further notice, according to a post on the website of Nigerian Lawyers.

The Whistle Blower also confirmed the report saying Nigeria's Ministry of a Education, in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, Sunny S.T. Echono, made it clear to stakeholders and all Chief Executives of Universities that the rumour making the rounds to reopen schools by June 1, 2020 is not true.

In another report, the Nigerian Unversities Commission also issued a circular saying Vice-Chancellors are to ignore the fake news being circulated in the social media.

It said the situation is under constant review and any decision will be conveyed through the appropriate channels, quoting NUC's Executive Secretary Office, Chris Maiyaki.
