COVID-19 - NCDC Reports 216 Confirmed New Cases

Nigeria's Disease Control Office, the NCDC, last night reported 216 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus, taking the overall total so far of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 54,463.

NCDC said 42,439 persons have so far been certified okay and discharged, while 1,027 people have died.

Of the reported new cases, Plateau State occupy the top spot with 59, followed by Rivers with 27 and Abia on the third spot with 22. Lagos State, which normally leads at the top, settled for the fourth spot with 20 new cases.

Akwa Ibom and Bauchi occupy the bottom of the list with 2 and 1 new cases each respectively.
