IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A WEATHER DEPENDENT EVENT AS THE GUN BEING FIRED IS A HISTORIC OBJECT.
Rocket Week - Half Term @ FirePower:
And the Rocket Week for the Half Term will be from Tuesday, February 18 to Saturday February 22nd, 2014 at the FirePower Museum.
Children are invited to join their mates for a fun packed time during the Half Term, as FirePower presents the Rocket Week.
Each day during the event kids will be given the chance to launch rockets at a model of Fort McHenry, recreating the moment in 1812 when Congreve rockets were fired at the fort.
Kids will also take a tour to find out about early military rockets.
There will be mad science propulsion demonstrations using household items.
There will also be rocket making crafts and FirePower's Camo Zone will be open.
All this for just £4.50 per child plus admission.
FirePower said the activities run from 11.00am - 1.00pm and repeated from 2.00pm - 4.00pm, so attendees are advised not to worry if they arrive late.
All activities are drop in, no need to pre-book, FirePower says.
