An fatal evening crash, involving a Mini Cooper and a motor cycle is the subject of police investigation this evening, as Trafalgar Road, Greenwich experiences partial closures.
At least one person is thought to have died as a result of the incident which occurred after a motor cyclist smashed into the left rear Tyre of the Mini Cooper, forcing out the car Tyre while the motor cycle smashed unto a road side electricity pole.
At the time Woolwich Online arrived the scene, the body of the motor-cyclist had already been removed, but forensic officers were still on scene conducting investigation.
A store keeper around the scene told us the motor cyclist would have been travelling too fast for the Mini's rear Tyre to be forced out on impact.
One female road user was knocked-down by the motor-cycle and sustained minor injuries, according to a crime scene account. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and she was reportedly treated for shock and released.
But suggestion that a passerby was among the dead was shot down after an officer told us no passerby died and that only the motor-cyclist, who attempted a maneuver was flung off from his bike up in the air and landed across the road inside a church compound.
