LONDON MARATHON SET TO GO AHEAD ON SUNDAY by Benson Agoha


The London Marathon is set to go ahead on Sunday as scheduled despite fears that there might be a repeat of hurtful acts that saw too explosions rocking the recent Boston Marathon.

According to the Independent, "Extra police and security personnel will be stationed along the route as one of a number of extra measures being put in place by the organisers of Sunday's London Marathon following consultations with the Metropolitan Police and the Mayor's office."

The marathon code-named VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON, enjoins participants to defy the fear that the perpetrators of the Boston bombings intended to create.
