Woolwich Library To Mark Martin Luther King Day by Benson Agoha

Today is Martin Luther King Day and the Woolwich Library has planned a some events to mark it, between today and tomorrow Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
Martin Luther King Day is usually held anually in honour of Dr. Martin Luther King, an American civil rights leader who guided African Americans through a peaceful protest against the racial injustice that was prevalent in America at the time.
The Woolwich Library will mark the Anniversary with a Workshop for children between 12-16 year olds
The event will be hosted by Kenny Baraka inside the Library between 7.00 - 8.30pm.
Though entry to the event is free, bookings can be made simply by calling the following number 0208 921 5718.
On Tuesday 21, there will be Film and Performance event between 7.00-8.30pm. This event will feature Zena Edwards and a guest performance from the Architects Young Writers group.

The Greenwich Council and Better, the Managers of the Woolwich Library are co-oranizers of the event.
