Manchester United FC has formerly sacked Manager David Moyes after a string of poor performances that has seen the club pushed out of the Champions League for next season.
It is thought that the last loss to Moyes' former Club Everton over the Easter weekend, proved to be the last straw that broke the camels back.
In a short official statement posted on the Club's website, Manchester United said:
"David Moyes leaves United: Manchester United has announced that David Moyes has left the Club," adding "The Club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role."
* David Moyes: Has left Manchester United after less than a full season as Manager.
Sir Alex Ferguson's successor was Manager of Everton for 10 years and was appointed after the former Manager announced his intention to quit. David Moyes is leaving the club after less than a full season in charge.
The news has been widely expected in the past two days and Manchester United FC has revealed that long serving player, Ryan Giggs, who has also been doubling as assistant manager under Moyes, will assume `first-team responsibility' at MUFC until a permanent manager is appointed.
