Tesco Healthy Living: Store Launches "My Fit Livestyle" Range

In response to current recent trading challenges, Tesco is introducing Innovative solution for 'hungry, time-poor Londoners trying to navigate their busy lives' around the city.

* The Tesco Taxi's are trailling the new rage between Wednesday 18, June and Monday 23rd June, 2014.
 

The High Street grocer has launched a brand new healthy range called 'my fit lifestyle' in a bid to assist people ‘on the go’ make healthy food choices.

In a News Release yesterday, Tesco said the new range was introduced after research showed six in ten of us eat either at our desks at work or on the move, and 90% of us admitted they make unhealthy food choices - blamed on busy lifestyles.

It said the new range will be targetting Londoners during the initial stages and said the trailling is taking place in 50 stores

Inspired by an emerging trend across the pond where personalised eating plans are trending, Tesco said the new range will be made easy to shop, through colour-coding executed according to five different calorie bands.

 

The new range is using a restaurant-on-wheels pre-booking taxi service called 'Ride ‘n’ Dine',  currently test-running for five days, till Monday, June 23rd to mark the launch.

 

During this test period, Tesco said passengers will be offered restaurant quality service and menu options from the 'my fit lifestyle' range while travelling to work, at meetings or shutling around the city.

 

The service will offer Londoners the chance to vary their options through "mix 'n' match" to fit their plans.

 

Nor must they only have to wait for Tesco's Taxi to satisfy hunger.  They can simply sign up at tesco.com/lifestyle, where they can list your goals and Tesco will build a plan to match them.

 

Customers can also choose their meals by mixing 'n' matching or by shopping in-store, where products are displayed on the screen with appropriate options.  It is also avaliable through Tesco's Click and Collect).

Tesco are trialling the range in 50 Tesco Express, Tesco Metro and Tesco Extra Stores across the capital. But the entire range will only be available in Tesco Extra stores and online.
